## Common questions

### Do I need to open ports?

No. Port 27015 is included. If you turn on SourceTV (TV_ENABLED in Settings), port 27020 is added when you save. Restart the server to publish it.

### Can I use plugins? (SourceMod, Metamod, CounterStrikeSharp)

SourceMod does not exist for CS2. Install Metamod and CounterStrikeSharp from Settings with one click, then upload plugins to `game/csgo/addons/counterstrikesharp/plugins`. Each CS2 update overwrites `gameinfo.gi`; if plugins stop loading, press Re-apply Metamod and restart.

### How do I update CS2?

Restart the server: it updates through Steam on every start. If it fails to start after an update (for example libv8.so not found), use Repair game files in Settings.

### Where are my demos saved?

With Metamod installed, CS2 writes demos under `game/csgo/addons/metamod/`. Create the folder you record into first (for example `game/csgo/addons/metamod/MatchZy`): recording into a missing folder can crash the server.

### Are there automatic backups?

Yes. New servers make one backup a day at about 5 in the morning (Spain time). When the backup slots of your plan are full, the oldest backup that is not locked is replaced; lock a backup to keep it. Turn it on or off in the Backups tab, and make a manual backup there whenever you want.
